We created the Brazilian Percussion Online Mentoring for those interested in learning and developing their skills in Brazilian percussion anywhere in the world. Classes are taught in Portuguese and English and aim to teach Brazilian rhythms on more than 30 percussion instruments.

In our in-person workshops, we offer sessions dedicated to sharing knowledge and practicing percussion in a group. There are five modalities: Percussion for Children, Percussion in Brazilian Roda de Samba, Samba School Drums, Brazilian Pandeiro, and Cajon.

In the world of companies and organizations, Coletivo Percussão offers the Corporate Workshop: "Carnival Block Coletivo Percussão Inc., from Conception to Parade - A case study of Planning, Management and Teamwork ," an opportunity for companies to provide employees with a musical experience connected to the organization's strategic plan.

PAULINHO PIRES

multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, music educator and business administrator with a specialization in cultural management

Since 1997, Paulinho Pires has been active as a percussionist in the São Paulo music scene. For 13 years he has been the drum master for carnival groups in the city of São Paulo and has performed four times at the Anhembi Sambadrome as a percussionist for samba schools in the special group.

 

He is currently a percussionist for the Balanço Verde e Rosa drum section of the União Imperial samba school in Santos/SP and the drum master for the Bloco da Cantareira (São Paulo/SP).

 

With his percussion, he has performed with: Geovana, MV Bill, Carica Sensação, Neguinho da Beija Flor, Zé Katimba, Wanderlei Monteiro, Bernadete, Nei Silva, Thobias da Vai-Vai, Wander Pires, Chapinha da Vela, Luizinho 7 Cordas, Quinho do Salgueiro, Sombrinha, Simoninha, among others.

 

In 2016 , after almost 20 years of experience with percussion, Paulinh Pires began giving private percussion lessons with the intention of sharing her experience and knowledge of Brazilian rhythms and their different languages. This was the beginning of Coletivo Percussão !

 

Since then, she has conducted numerous workshops, introducing percussion to over 250 people , in addition to private lessons for approximately 30 students. During 2024 and 2025, he taught a weekly Percussion Workshop for students aged 5 to 10 at the Companhia School in Santos.

 

In 2025, he decided to expand access to Brazilian percussion education to interested individuals anywhere in the world.
